Colorado Secular Conference features ACLU speaker Kathleen Hynes
Saturday, July 21, 2012 - 10:00am - 6:30pm
Dr. Kathleen Hynes is a speaker with the American Civil Liberties Union of Colorado. During the Colorado Secular Conference at Colorado Mesa University Grand Ballroom, she will speak about the Patriot Act and its impact on our civil rights and liberties.
After receiving a PhD in Sociology from the University of Denver, Dr. Hynes held a faculty appointment at the University of Colorado School of Medicine teaching medical ethics and researching health care delivery systems. She left the University and began her own research business, which she pursued for over two decades.
She works with the ACLU because she says there is no better way to ensure social justice than by working to protect, defend and extend the civil rights and civil liberties of all people.
Dr. Hynes will address the conference on July 21 from 2 PM -- 3 PM.
The conference is free but registration is required.
