Phone bank with the ACLU and the Colorado Civic Engagement Roundtable
Thursday, September 16, 2010 - 3:30pm - 6:30pm
Voting is one of our most basic rights, but it’s meaningless if we don’t take the time to make our voices heard.
Help us remind people to go vote this November. We’re joining forces with the Colorado Civic Engagement Roundtable and New Era Colorado for several Get Out The Vote (GOTV) and ballot education events. Volunteers will make phone calls reminding people to vote and letting them know about the ballot initiatives they’ll be voting on. These initiatives include Amendment 62, a "personhood" amendment that would give full constitutional and legal rights to fertilized eggs. The ACLU of Colorado actively opposes this Amendment, and we hope you’ll get active with us this fall.
The phone bank will be held at the Colorado AFL-CIO office.
