Are you interested in learning more about the work of the ACLU? Do members of your organization have questions about a civil liberties issue?
Members of our Speakers Bureau give presentations to students, community organizations, service organizations, professional associations and a variety of other groups. Our speakers are lawyers, educators, members of the ACLU Board of Directors and other experts in civil liberties. Speakers can talk about the history of the ACLU and major court cases. We also offer “Know Your Rights” trainings for handling encounters with police officers or immigration authorities.
Please note: Due to increased demand, we require three weeks’ notice and an audience of at least 25 participants to schedule an event. For smaller events and house parties, we can send ACLU handouts and materials for you to share. Other events may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
