Speakers Bureau

Are you interested in learning more about the work of the ACLU? Do members of your organization have questions about a civil liberties issue?

Members of our Speakers Bureau give presentations to students, community organizations, service organizations, professional associations and a variety of other groups. The presentation topics are as current as today’s headlines. Our speakers are lawyers, educators, members of the ACLU Board of Directors and other experts in civil liberties. Speakers talk about current cases and controversies or about the general work and history of the ACLU.

  • Below is a partial list of the topics we address. Our speakers can customize talks to meet specific requests and are available to participate in panel discussions. Some examples of our topics are ACLU 101: History and Background, Know your Rights, Criminalization of Homelessness, Freedom of Choice: Reproductive Freedom, Religious Liberty: Separation of Church and State, Freedom of Press, Speech, Assembly.
  • ACLU Speakers are available to your group at no charge. If your budget includes an honorarium, we would gladly accept that to offset the costs of our Speakers Bureau.
