Sometimes all it takes is a letter reminding people that the Constitution applies to everyone. Staff Attorney Taylor Pendergrass wrote one such letter to a Denver area restaurant on behalf of an African-American waitress whose new manager was hassling her about her afro hairstyle. It might not have made headlines, but it made one woman’s work day a little easier.
