The 2024 election cycle was a landmark year for our We Are the Vote campaign, as we made unprecedented strides in mobilizing voters, protecting our personal freedoms, and pushing back against attacks on criminal legal reforms. Thanks to the tireless commitment of our community and partners, we knocked on more doors, engaged votes across multiple cities and counties, and enlisted more volunteers than ever before.

Our efforts played a pivotal role in securing wins for vital ballot measures. Both Amendment 79, which codified abortion rights in the Colorado State Constitution, and Amendment J, which dismantled the discriminatory constitutional ban on same-sex marriage, passed with overwhelming support. At the same time, we successfully defeated Amendment 80, ensuring that public funds would remain in public schools.

In addition to these victories, we led a diverse coalition to oppose Propositions 128 and 130.  Both of these measures posed serious threats to recent criminal legal reforms. While these measures went on to pass, our campaign was a resounding success in building solidarity among voters, partners, and legislative champions. Our work amplified public awareness about justice reform issues and created a more informed electorate.

Thanks to our collective efforts, we are in a stronger position to defend our personal freedoms and create a statewide firewall for freedom. When we come together at the ballot box, we can protect our rights, support our communities, and drive lasting change.
