Jennifer Turner is the Executive Director for Bridges of Colorado, a program bringing services to justice-involved participants with high acuity mental health needs and information to courts to help inform compassionate and effective problem solving. A passionate advocate for individual well-being, social justice, and community collaboration, Jennifer believes the three are fundamentally connected. She developed Bridges – the first program of its kind in the nation – through approaches which engage consensus building, effective systemic responses, and client and community voice. She has provided consultation on the development of similar models to multiple state governments, Department of Justice, National Center for State Courts, and Council on State Governments. Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work and serves on the board of the ACLU of Colorado. Prior to her leadership with Bridges of Colorado, Jennifer’s work focused on collaborative and client-centered approaches to problem solving for youth with complex systems involvement. Jennifer is a Colorado native and the mother of two young adults. Their experiences and insights constantly inspire her in the work she does for her community.
