World Abolition Day Rally in Denver


October 10, 2011 is the 9th World Day to raise awareness on the inhumanity of the death penalty throughout the entire process, from sentence to execution.

Juan Melendez, who spent 17 years, 8 months and 1 day on death row for a crime he did not commit, will be there as well to stand with us!

Come join the ACLU and Coloradans for Alternatives to the Death Penalty for our World Abolition Day Rally to learn more about the death penalty and to show Colorado that the death penalty needs to be repealed!! Bring your friends and family!!

The ACLU opposes the death penalty in all circumstances, and looks to the day when the United States joins the majority of nations as an abolitionist state.
