Meet Your State ACLU of Colorado Legislator Champions: An opportunity for activists to meet and be inspired by civil rights and civil liberties legislative champions in our state, hear why they ran for office, and learn directly from elected officials about what activists do that inspires and motivates them to action and take hard votes.

This will be a panel style hour with the opportunity to ask questions and become inspired!

Join us for this LIFT two part series training: Advocacy and Action Taking and Creating Policy 101!

This training will be broken down into two trainings building off each other to introduce and sharpen advocacy skillset!

12:30 to 1:30 p.m.: Advocacy and Action-Taking - A skills training for new and emerging activists on how to engage in advocacy at the Legislature that helps build a just and equitable society, covering both theory and concrete tactics.

1:30 to 2:30 p.m.: Creating Policy 101 - A training on the nuts and bolts of how a bill becomes a law, and how activists can influence policy through their individual and combined pressure on legislators.
We'll have a special guest appearance and you'll have an opportunity to ask our panelist questions.
